LISBON MIDNIGHT HOUR

The painting Lisbon Midnight Hour is inspired by my memories of Lisbon, a city where I once studied and to which I have felt a lasting connection ever since. When I first arrived there in 2009, in the middle of January, the contrast with freezing Prague was striking. Lisbon welcomed me with sunlight, warm and open people, and citrus trees everywhere, details that became inseparable from my memory of the city.

Against a deep black background, an orange tree appears in golden and green tones, reflecting the warmth and richness of Lisbon at night. The painting is a tribute to the beauty of its streets and to the unforgettable atmosphere.
